SHB20216 Certificate II in Salon Assistant

This is a preparatory qualification which provides a defined and limited range of basic skills and knowledge used in hairdressing salons by individuals who provide assistance with client services. These routine and repetitive tasks are completed under direct supervision and with guidance from hairdressers who manage the client service.

The combined skills and knowledge do not provide for a job outcome as a hairdresser and this qualification is intended to prepare individuals for further training.

No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Above list only includes units selected by Vibe College in delivering. However, there are more units listed within training package for elective units. Vibe College might change the units in agreement with students and related stakeholder to meet the need of learners/changing industry trend.

Domestic Students

There are no mandatory requirements to enter into this course. Students whom enter into this delivery have an interest and passion for the industry. They have a desire to learn through the practical hands on approach and prior experience through a part time job or similar which will be beneficial. It is however expected that participants are able to display sufficient English Language, Literacy, and Numeracy skills at a Year 11 level or equivalent. Capacity to complete the assessment items within the required timeframes is required.

Course fees can be paid in person, by phone, internet banking, or credit card.

Fee for Service

Option 1 Upfront 100% Payment.

You can pay course fees in full upfront through your own pocket either by direct debit or credit card. A direct debit or direct withdrawal of funds can be arranged and scheduled from your nominated bank account. We accept payments by MasterCard or Visa.

Options 2 Payment Plan

You are required to make first instalment before course commencement and make the remaining payments through convenient instalments weekly, fortnightly, monthly or per semester. Terms and conditions apply.

Options 3 Direct Debit

A direct debit or direct withdrawal of funds can be arranged and scheduled from your nominated bank account.

Options 4 Credit Card

We accept payments by MasterCard or Visa.


Apprenticeship

We provide all above options for payment. However, we also provide options below for apprentice student to help with their financial needs.

Option 1 Cost per module & prepaid books.

Student are able to pay the contribution cost of module at the beginning of training for each module. However, we ask the student to pay for the books up front.

Options 2 Payment Plan

Students make initial payment of $250 and put the remaining balance on payment plan through convenient instalments weekly, fortnightly, monthly or per semester. This is in place to help you divide your payment evenly during your apprenticeship instead of having varying payments. Terms and conditions apply.

Study Outcomes

On completion of your studies you will receive a SHB20216 Certificate II in Salon Assistant, issued by VIBE.

The Certificate II in Salon Assistant include no mandatory requirement for practical placement. However, we do help our student to get in touch with various employers to complete practical placement. In addition, student also get opportunity to work on live client at college salon.
