CERTIFICATE IV IN HOSPITALITY
The Certificate IV in Hospitality has been designed to reflect the role of skilled operators within the industry who use a broad range of hospitality service, sales or operational skills combined with supervisory skills.
The qualification will provide a sound knowledge of industry operations allowing graduates to plan, monitor and evaluate the work of their team members. Students will learn to operate independently or with limited guidance from others, and use discretion to solve problems as they arise.
In the Certificate IV in Hospitality course, the students are trained to reflect the role of skilled operators who use a broad range of hospitality service, sales or operational sills combined with supervisory skills and sound knowledge of industry operations to plan, monitor and evaluate the work of team members. They operate independently or with limited guidance from others, and use discretion to solve non-routine problems.
This qualification provides a pathway to work as a supervisor in hospitality organisations such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafes, and coffee shops. This qualification allows for multi-skilling and for specialisation in accommodation services, food and beverage, and gaming.

Domestic Students
There are no mandatory requirements to enter into this course. Students who enter into this delivery have invested and have an interest and passion for the industry. They have a desire to learn through the practical approach and prior experience through a part time job or similar which will be beneficial.
Students will be required to apply knowledge and skills to demonstrate autonomy and make judgements within certain situations and will be required to take responsibility for decisions made under limited guidance in the workplace context. Capacity to complete the assessment items within the required timeframes is required.
International Students
