OVERVIEW
Accounting is described as the process of recording, analysing, and summarising financial data. It is an incredibly robust and secure industry said to attract individuals with great organisational skills and a high understanding of mathematical processes and applications.
The primary function of an accountant is to prepare and examine a company’s financial records, tax, and business efficiency. Build upon your current accounting skills and gain a solid understanding of tax preparation, budget management, and forecasts, accounting information systems and internal control procedures with this Diploma.
Licensing/Regulatory Information
Work functions in the occupational areas where this qualification may be used are subject to regulatory requirements. Refer to the FNS Implementation Guide Companion Volume or the relevant regulator for specific guidance on requirements.
This qualification includes units that comprise an approved Tax Practitioner Board (TPB) course in Australian taxation law and commercial law. Persons seeking registration with the TPB should check current registration requirements with the Board.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
International Students
International students must meet academic and English entry requirements as listed below for this Qualification.
Students must provide academic evidence of satisfactory completion of Year 12 or equivalent.
Where English is not the official language in the country of where students are currently residing, evidence of a valid IELTS 5.5 (no band less than 5.0) or any equivalent must be provided. Students will also complete an online English level placement test prior to enrolment.
Academic Requirements
The following units delivered as part of this qualification have academic prerequisite requirements. If these students do not hold these, they are able to be completed through Vibe Colleges eLearning platform prior to enrolment into the Diploma.

- Entry into the FNS50217 Diploma of Accounting requires completion of the following six units below:
- FNSACC311 Process financial transactions and extract interim reports
- FNSACC312 Administer subsidiary accounts and ledgers
- FNSACC408 Work effectively in the accounting and bookkeeping industry
- FNSACC416 Set up and operate a computerised accounting system
- FNSTPB401 Complete business activity and instalment activity statements
- FNSTPB402 Establish and maintain payroll systems
Or the completion of either the following two qualifications:
- FNS40615 Certificate IV in Accounting
- FNS40215 Certificate IV in Bookkeeping

You can pay course fees in full upfront through your own pocket either by direct debit or credit card. A direct debit or direct withdrawal of funds can be arranged and scheduled from your nominated bank account. We accept payments by MasterCard or Visa.
- Options 2: Payment Plan
You are required to make first instalment before course commencement and make the remaining payments through convenient instalments weekly, fortnightly, monthly or per semester. Terms and conditions apply.

The Diploma of Accounting includes no mandatory requirement for practical placement. However, we do help our student to get in touch with various employers to obtain practical experience. In addition, students also get opportunity to manage college affairs.
