The Diploma of Hospitality Management reflects the role of highly skilled senior operators within the industry who use a broad range of hospitality skills combined with managerial skills and industry knowledge to coordinate and manage hospitality operations. They will be required to operate independently, have responsibility for others and make a range of business decisions.
In the Diploma of Hospitality Management, the students reflect the role of highly a skilled senior operator within the industry. This qualification can provide a pathway to work in any hospitality industry sector as a departmental or small business manager. The diversity of employers includes restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops. This qualification allows for multiskilling and for specialisation in accommodation services, cookery, food and beverage and gaming.

Domestic Students
There are no mandatory requirements to enter into this course. However, having completed Year 12, hold a Certificate IV or have work experience in the field is recommended as minimum requirements to study at the diploma level.
Vibe College uses the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) to identify the learners language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) levels upon enrolment.
International Students
There are no prerequisites for international students to enter into this course but they must meet academic and english entry requirements.
Students must provide academic evidence of satisfactory completion of Year 12 or equivalent.
Where English is not the official language in the country of where students are currently residing, evidence of a valid IELTS 5.5 (no band less than 5.0) or any equivalent must be provided. Students will also complete an online English level placement test prior to enrolment.

The Certificate III in Hospitality with Vibe College includes 240 hours of service periods of practical placement to be completed. In addition to above placement, students will be provided with opportunity to complete foodservice periods and ability to manage a budget for a business over various service periods.
