In the Diploma of Salon Management course, student are trained to reflects the role of individuals who are competent in managing the overall operation of a business involved in services and sales delivery in personal services environments, including, hairdressing and beauty salons and spas. A salon manager at this level may focus on building the business, creating and establishing a personal services culture, leading and developing a team, developing and implementing marketing activities, and ensuring all occupational health and safety requirements are maintained.


This qualification is designed to reflect the role of managers or owner managers who work relatively autonomously and coordinate and supervise others. It involves the self-directed application of knowledge and skills, and the provision of leadership and support to colleagues through the development and management of service delivery, and sales delivery concurrent with ongoing human resources development.


At Vibe College, students have opportunity to get practical experience by working at the college salon. We also encourage and assist our full time students in finding other opportunities that would allow them to perform practical and gain additional industry exposure.

Domestic Students

There are no mandatory requirements to enter into this course. Students who enter into this delivery have an interest and passion for the industry. They have a desire to learn through the practical hands on approach and prior experience through a part time job or similar which will be beneficial. It is however expected that participants are able to display sufficient English Language, Literacy, and Numeracy skills at a Year 12 level or equivalent. Capacity to complete the assessment items within the required timeframes is required.

International Students

There are no mandatory requirements to enter into this course. However, international students are required to meet certain Academic and English language requirement to get accepted in to Vibe College. Please follow link below to review the requirement.

Fee for Service

Option 1 Upfront 100% Payment.

You can pay course fees in full upfront through your own pocket either by direct debit or credit card. A direct debit or direct withdrawal of funds can be arranged and scheduled from your nominated bank account. We accept payments by MasterCard or Visa.

Options 2 Payment Plan

You are required to make first instalment before course commencement and make the remaining payments through convenient instalments weekly, fortnightly, monthly or per semester. Terms and conditions apply.

Options 3 Direct Debit

A direct debit or direct withdrawal of funds can be arranged and scheduled from your nominated bank account.

Options 4 Credit Card

The Diploma of Salon Management includes no mandatory requirement for practical placement. However, we do help our student to get in touch with various employers to obtain practical experience. In addition, students also get opportunity to manage college salon.
